REMIND ME to never go from cold iron--no script, no sketches--to pushing out a full page in a single evening again any time soon...

It’s as bad as looking in the mirror and saying Bloody Mary

Or Beetlejuice three times

You'd think (fictional?) people would have LEARNED that particular lesson by now.
DON'T SAY STUFF LIKE THAT OUT LOUD!!
(Heck, sometimes, you shouldn't even THINK it!)

On the plus side: With two other breadwinners in the household, Donna's unemployment* at least doesn't lead to a financial worst case scenario.
On the minus side: Well, everything else, basically.

* Just to check: The way I understood it so far, Donna didn't yet actually officially become unemployed, it's just what she expects to happen very soon, due to her major screw up back here, right?

Money always comes with a cost!

And yeah, as a seller on commission it’s easy to get choked off without actually getting fired. Donna’s actions addressing *that* is part of the pages I pushed to next week. However, I needed to emphasize how bad things were getting.

Don't worry, Donna, I am sure-sure will get much better very soon! You might see some proof soon...

Also: Naomi licking Donna as a big EFF YOU is just fantastic

behaviors like that are exactly why Naomi is so vulnerable to corona

The beer or the virus? I can certainly see her being vulnerable to crappy "imported" beer...

What Donna is going through is "constructive dismissal" ie: cutting her responsibilities, routing her sales calls to others, cutting her hours, etc. It's grounds (ha ha) for a pretty heafty lawsuit - ESPECIALLY considering the lengths she had to go on her lase ASSignment...

Whatever happened to "Chekhov's Gym Owner"?
lirvilas 25th Jun 2020, 11:57 PM edit delete reply
lirvilas
good question

with the enforced closure of gyms during the shutdown in Illinois (and elsewhere) it's kinda difficult to bring Gavin into the picture

COVID was not something I factored in; in an alternate timeline where this bug was squashed by I don't know competent leadership at the Federal level we would've seen more of Donna's regimen of endless squats and deadlifts

because you know, those exercises work very important muscles

we'll get back to that at some point, even if she's gotta train via totally private and not at all re-broadcast Zoom meetings

So is Donna dressed that way to help her father sell cars? That’s exactly what I’d expect of him.

I mean, that's where she used to work back in high school before she got her gig at Haute Coffee

for some reason she was really helpful in up-selling those damn "underbody coatings"

the family business and what's become of it is yet another loose end that'll be toyed with down the road
