Luckily I don't have insomnia very often, but when I do, that irritating radio clock always makes me calculate in my head: "OK, when I fall asleep now, I will still have x hours of sleep..."

I hear you--for that and other reasons I try not to use an alarm clock anymore. There's nothing worse in the morning than entering the day groggy from a disrupted sleep cycle... with the possible exception of having someone jar you awake.

I used to have that same issue. For me, it took a sleep study (found out I have obstructive sleep apnea - OSA) and a mild, non-addictive sedative to help me sleep. I use my CPAP mask religiously.

I also switched to using my cell phone alarm, covered up all LEDs in my bedroom with electrical tape, and have the fan on full-blast (until the wife turns it off)...

but seriously: regarding crossover characters, I can think of maybe one Autumn Bay-generated character who may appear here, and it's nobody from the main cast. The other fairly likely suspect is one of Microraptor's, but she wouldn't arrive for a good long while. I have dreams for Donna, but she's got a whole lot more sleepless nights to get through (and hundreds of pages) before I can hit up that sorta noise.
