Gus is a cold bastard.

(how do you like him now?!)

Do you really want to make Donna your enemy, Gus?
Aren't there enough women already who don't like you??

I think Gus wants the whole op to go down the tubes.
He suggests firing Donna because, he's just seen first hand the many various lengths she'll go to in order to get things sorted in favor of whatever side she's on!

Gus... Gus is not a fan of obstinate subordinates.

Having dealt with such myself, I can understand the appeal of eliminating them, even if they bring a lot to the table.

Did you just mispronounce "uppity wimmin"?

Yeah, that's kinda interesting that I've made Augustus's primary opponents all females. He's employed females and I'm not aware that he's got any sort of misogynistic streak... yeah, don't blame that pattern on the character.

In my defense I think it's clear that ol' Gus hated the crap out of one mister Elliot Maerc, he was merely really tactful about it.

Suuure...fire the straw that stirs the drink. Donna’s a hot mess, but she knows how to sell, bud...unless that wasn’t your aim in the first place.

To be real, salespeople are a dime a dozen. If they aren't buying into the organizational culture they should be removed.

Also, perhaps this is a test? (Everything is a test.)

Donna's lucky this ain't one of your more violent works, or else this page would have way more ominous implications

while it may be more expeditious to put a bag over the head of an employee and dump their corpse in a river somewhere, this is not how most corporations handle terminations

sure fucking feels like it though

(while V! content is fun and easy to draw--mmmm, cranial trauma---that is not the point of this comic)

Obviously, Gus is afraid of Donna because she reads him too well.
lirvilas 21st Oct 2020, 10:45 PM edit delete reply
yup, 'fraid so!
