Must be hard drawing while drunk, it affects motor skills. Usually when I drink I start slowly and end up drinking anything like it's water
lirvilas 15th Nov 2020, 6:28 PM edit delete reply
naw, I don't get that much traction when I'm hammered, I drew this well beforehand

drunk = making an ass of myself in the CF forums

time to start shitposting

Zero Hour
Hey, I love to shitpost too, even when sober
lirvilas 15th Nov 2020, 6:35 PM edit delete reply
this is why all comics artists need active comments sections, they can work out their personal problems in the privacy of their own comic pages, out of the public eye

hmm, that was fairly coherent, maybe I need to hit the scotch

Redneck Bimbo who excels at selling sand to Sheiks.
lirvilas 15th Nov 2020, 6:33 PM edit delete reply
"but you gotta ask yourself--where has this sand been?"
Microraptor 15th Nov 2020, 6:45 PM edit delete reply
Well, I just had a beer with the supper, and am currently waiting a few minutes to sober up a little before continuing to draw another Cryptida page...

And I have to agree with jamie here:
Donna is a ridiculous redneck bimbo - but does that exclude her from being competent?
lirvilas 16th Nov 2020, 10:49 PM edit delete reply
Like a convenient length of lead pipe, Donna is disturbingly effective.

Just don't use her on anything or anyone you don't want to thoroughly thrash.
KidCthulhu 15th Nov 2020, 7:21 PM edit delete reply
And Donna's team increases by one hottie.
lirvilas 16th Nov 2020, 10:48 PM edit delete reply
Or is it the other way around? More on that before this arc wraps up.

Never head of Naturdays. My drunk of choice is Deschutes Inversion IPA with a splash of Black Velvet on the top. I know Black Velvet is cheap, but there's something about the combination of flavors that I really like. I sometimes draw when I'm drunk then go back and fix it the next day. LOL!
lirvilas 15th Nov 2020, 7:54 PM edit delete reply
Damn dude! It's been a sweet minute since I've had anything by Deschutes. Putting liquor on top of their IPA has got to make some crazy shit happen on your pages...

Uh, no, that's the marijuana.
lirvilas 16th Nov 2020, 10:47 PM edit delete reply
ha ha ha ha that stuff is legal in my jurisdiction but for reasons I'll not get into it is definitely something I cannot imbibe.
sherbettcat 15th Nov 2020, 7:56 PM edit delete reply
What's that old phrase? Write drunk, edit sober?
lirvilas 16th Nov 2020, 10:50 PM edit delete reply
whoops, that might explain some of the lax QA around here
Jean_Q_Citizen 16th Nov 2020, 12:51 AM edit delete reply
Redneck? Nah, not really. Bimbo?

Er, not really a redneck, anyhow...
lirvilas 16th Nov 2020, 10:50 PM edit delete reply
there's "damaged goods" and then there's "damaging goods"

(see my reply to Microraptor)

you make the call
Stilldown 16th Nov 2020, 5:56 AM edit delete reply
Just drink and be happy. Or even unhappy and drunk is better then unhappy and sober, I guess.

PS: The image is from the same innocent 1970ies drinking book that also inspried Ariane's drinking timetable. Here's a picture of it on a tray (also as towel.)
lirvilas 16th Nov 2020, 10:51 PM edit delete reply
because drinking surely helps you stay in shape

round is a shape

What do sex in a canoe and American beer have in common?

They're both fucking close to water...

And when I'm serious: https://www.lcbo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/lcbo/islay-15020059017/lagavulin-16-year-old-islay-single-malt-scotch-whisky-207126#.X7LFu1B7lPY
lirvilas 16th Nov 2020, 1:12 PM edit delete reply
Gonna have to look into that last one--I love anything I've ever tasted from Islay.

Yeah, I'm being facetious with the Natty Light. (Because sometimes you need to hydrate.) Four Hands Brewing is my local purveyor of high quality beer.
sigpig 17th Nov 2020, 2:26 PM edit delete reply
If you haven't had anything from Islay, then start with Laphroaig as it is one of the less-peaty ones. Lagavullin is described by my wife as "liquid dirt", but it's an INCREDIBLE liquid-dirt...
That blended one I linked is an excellent every-day Scotch. I am not in the tax bracket where drinking Lagavullin at that rate is possible... lol

Lately I've indulging in what I call the TecaTea. Three parts Tecate to one part iced tea. Smooth as hell and you can drink it all day any socially acceptable time

When I have more time, homemade Kahlua is heavenly

The irony of her statement is pure joy XD

Oh, I remember the power of the bosse's name stamp! I LOVED being secretary (my former boss was...well Boss. Loved that lady XD).

I see Donna quickly finding herself the leader of a rehabilitation program using the coffee shack as her jobs program XD

Win win for everyone ;)
