Isn't a "chemical concoction turns Jo into some kind of mutant" a storyline that's rather suited for Halloween? ;-)

You'd think so, but then again, one could say the same about hunting a kraken...

It seems that while lirv enforces a strict "no magic" rule, he plays it more loosely regarding crazy science.
And specifically regarding science turning people into abominations, let me just say: Hush hush hush, here comes...

Billy was a chemist,
now Billy is no more.
What Billy thought was H2O
was H2SO4.

Rule 3 is "Don't eat or drink in the lab" (Rules 1 and 2 are "Always add acid to water" and "Hot glass looks exactly like cold glass")

Poor old Brown is dead and gone.
His face you'll see no more.
For what he thought was H2O,
Was H2SO4.

I think I read it in one of the Molesworth books

Well that's never a good sign.

(Oh god, now I'm gagging, thinking about that scene in Austin Powers...whichever one. They're all the same film, aren't they?)
