Ironically, the person who volunteered to have this little tech marvel implanted in her skull (due to a certain fork-related "accident") would usually be someone you'd hire as such a repo (wo)man...

I faintly recall there was an authentic case in the mid 1980ies about a diamond thief who had a kind of vacuum device implanted in his hand for the theft, but can't remind the details. Does anyone know anything about it?
