Dark humor abounds (which, in all fairness, a coping mechanism I see as realistic at least in some of the people I know who were sent to Afganistan. They did not have many happy stories D:)

I got lucky going to Iraq when I did. Really lucky. This one's for all my brothers and sisters who weren't as lucky.
