Truth be told (see: Playground) Mbuni was probably going to do this anyway. But! I am not a fan of two-dimensional villains. Mbuni's sin is pride, and pretty women or platinum mines he wants to believe that he can take whatever he wants. Also I think it's clear to anyone except Donna that she has a Type, and it's tall, dark, and vicious. The upcoming saga of Kogana is more tragic if it was great love that compelled the conflagration, not petty greed. Vol and Donna are a match made in hell.
Now for the counterattack by the forces of heaven...
To fuck a woman of Donna's age and appetites into slumber by a gentleman of the General's age quite probably would require "supplemental" assistance. The big question is, is it Viagra, Cialis, or (considering his history) ground-up rhinoceros horn?
Or is it his assistants assisting in the ASSistance?
one of the side benefits of this comic is that I get to keep up to date with modern vocabulary
edit: Also, that's a fair point. I'd like to think that Donna--a troubled but "good person" at least in her own mind--wouldn't deliberately enable massacres... something for me to think about.
I think you could make a strong argument that Mbuni was going to do this anyway. He's starting to feel the creep of time and he knows he doesn't have too much more time before he's too old/comfortable/broken to saddle up his ostrich again. Sure, Donna mighta reminded him of the lust of his younger years, but to blame the upcoming massive bloodletting on "that woman" is one hell of an excuse.
just kidding, kidding
no way in hell would I ever post over there
ED Actually the idea of this becoming a Tapas Original gave me the giggles
... and several sirens!
in Zamunda
There are major criticisms to be made on several levels here...
also, let's not blame Helen for Agamemnon's covetousness

(that said, I like the rhinoceros horn idea)
(Jeez Mbuni, can't you just buy her a Lamborghini or something??)
throw a flashy italian sports car at a girl
(I would hope it's obvious that Donna's a hardcore fan of Detroit Muscle)
"simping"

Stand by for that excuse....
I take it he won't be building the next Taj Mahal for her?
(ahem, unless things go REALLY downhill for her)
but yeah, empires need emperors
