speaking of "Shake Hands with Danger" looks like Deke Wilson (in the comments) is gonna take a shot at the title

Updating that vote incentive momentarily. If you like that kinda shit, consider joining my Patreon, that's where I post my smut these days. Thanks for reading!
1) US military personnel have the money and the perspective to enjoy good beer; 2) Aero is specifically on tap because of the USAF Airmen who served in Germany; 3) likewise Gavin is here because his significant other is/was USAF
I am going to presume that there is a USAF air base in the vicinity of Gernsbeck

do you blame the flame for the moth it draws to their doom? of course not. Jay randomly dropped this character into Anvil Flats and as a result he's going to be roughly handled. I'd expect nothing less from any of you
Donna is starting to realize what league she's in--she's no damn bimbo Helen, she's the contractor who sold that fleet to Menelaus
Regarding the USAF airbase in the vicinity of Gernsbeck, that would be the one in the nearby town of Bimstein.
So far that has only been head canon, the place has only been mentioned in passing here and here.
The name is a pun (Bimsstein = pumice stone) on the real life Ramstein Air Base.)

My only experience with that base revolves around the hospital where so many of my countrymen/women ended up after injuries in Afghanistan before being repatriated. Also, a certain band named after the place.
I am much more familiar with the Canadian bases at Lahr and Baden-Soellingen that closed down in the 1990s...
Most german people will connect the base to the horrible air disaster and the even more catastrophic handling after it. (I recall it very well. A friend of mine wanted to go there with his family that day, but luckily didn't by chance.)
And that band... it is one of the lame atrocities that is sadly often mistaken for german music (like Heino, Nena and other names no one should renember.)
That "Fine selection of drinks" will either give you gut-rot, or strike you blind, if you haven't already built up a tolerance. Like drinking a bit of hemlock every morning with breakfast.
Hmmm, perhaps I could try coming up with a few Anvil Flats residents too...
While I already have some other ideas for 30 Days, you gotta have to fill up the full 30 somehow! ^^
As far as I can reconstruct this, it all started with a certain reporter showing up in Holding Pattern, and things slowly started snowballing (like an exponential function) from thereon. ^^
And Donna seems to attract the most shady menfolk like a magnet!

Deke is clearly into that.

Mic drop.
Though this may be highly encouraged by the staff...one way or another
I'm quite surprised to see him turn up in the comic so fast!
Fair warning: This year's 30 Days of Characters may include some other Anvil Flats residents.

I go steal a bunch of Autumn Bay characters and this is how the universe gives payback
