Four Rooms is a black comedy about a newly hired bellhop, who is left to man the fort alone on New Years Eve. And that just happens to be the night when all the weirdos are renting rooms. Lots of booze, sex, screaming, comedic violence and all that fun stuff! That final panel feels right at home in the movie.
I think it’s fair to say that most of the good in Donna came from her mother’s influence, and that includes her (arguably misplaced) loyalty to family and friends. She did deserve better… but “dead in a car crash in Indiana at 42” is almost certainly better than her original trajectory of “strangled in a St. Petersburg alley at 16”
