She makes her own money and neither Naomi nor Don is really doing anything FOR her, financially or even emotionally (at least, not in a POSITIVE way)...
Naomi is a bigger pain in the ass than a barbed wire buttplug and Don is... unhinged.
I (theoretically) understand the bonds of DNA and familial loyalty, and I have seen many an otherwise rational person put up with all manner of soul-twisting chicanery from neglect to abuse with an exasperated hand-wave and a "but he's my BROTHER" or "I HAVE to put up with her, she's my MOM"..
But, speaking as one who cut my own corrupted DNA loose as soon as I was old enough to throw two middle fingers and muddle through this crazy-ass dumpster fire of a Life On Planet Dumb without backup, (and I am by NO means "strong" or "bad-ass, or any of that) I simply do not understand why anyone, particularly a ruthless, quick-witted ball-buster like Donna Panks, would let these two butt-berets run roughshod all over her nerves like they do without some wicked-ass, fava-beans-&-a-nice-chianti level VENGEANCE!!
Donna got tired of spending $$$/month on her dad's retirement/nursing home, so she moved him in.
With all the "content created" by Naomi , et al, it should cover the mortgage, taxes, utilities, and upkeep (gardening, snow removal, house cleaning, tech upgrades).
IS Naomi ponying up her financial contribution and in a timely manner, though?
